Wexford winners at Bord Bia’s
National Amenity Horticulture Awards 2008 / 2009

Elaine Warren from Springmount Garden Centre picked up the award for Best Specialist Centre at Bord Bia’s annual National Amenity Horticulture Awards in The Sheraton Hotel, Athlone, Co. Westmeath. Almost 200 industry representatives attended the Awards which were presented by Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Mr. Trevor Sargent T.D.

The Bord Bia Garden Centre, Nursery and Landscape Quality Programmes are designed to define standards for the industry and encourage participants to reach them.  Elaine Warren, Springmount proprietor said, “Although established 35 years, this is the first year Springmount entered the Quality Programme. We all work hard and we are delighted to be awarded 4 stars. To be, also, voted the Best Specialist Garden Centre in Ireland is a wonderful achievement. We will continue to look after our customers offering them advice and the best range of plants possible to ensure we maintain our position next year.
